Are You Contractors or Consultants?

Technically, a consultant is a contractor since they work by contract. In our view, however, a consultant is simply someone who talks a lot and makes a big show of sounding like he knows what he's doing. Or, to put it another way, a consultant is someone who borrows your watch to tell you what time it is, then bills you for providing the information. A contractor, on the other hand, actual gets things done. We get things done, and so, we consider ourselves to be contractors.

How Much Will It Cost?

The bottom line is always about cost. The truth is, developing customized web sites and web applications is often more expensive than many people realize. A simple HTML and javascript driven web site may cost less than $1000 to build, but our focus is primarily on the more "feature-full", dynamically interactive web applications and information portals. These large-scale projects can cost in the tens of thousands of dollars, simply due to the time and technical expertise that is required. Of course, the final cost can only be estimated after we have had time to fully evaluate the features, requirements, and expectations.

In addition, we require 1/3 payment upfront, 1/3 approximately halfway through the project, and the last 1/3 on delivery. This can be negotiated depending on the circumstances.

What About Search Engine Optimization?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a tricky subject. Certain companies appear to specialize in SEO and guarantee top Google results. However, such companies engage in various unscrupulous activities such as "google bombing", spam campaigns, and astroturfing, which ultimately lead to the "optimized" web site being permanently black listed by Google.

We do not engage in such nefarious practices, and we cannot guarantee top Google results (anyone who claims they can is lying). But we will design your site in full compliance with Google's guidelines with clean URLs, relevant keywords and meta-tags, site map, and clear navigation.
